Course Description

This unit covers the competencies required to produce patterns used in the fashion industry. It involves demonstrating understanding of concepts in pattern construction; Selecting pattern construction tools, equipment and materials, taking body measurement, analyzing standard size charts, drafting basic blocks, manipulating garment design, adapting working patterns, producing final patterns, producing prototype garment and developing a pattern construction portfolio.
